Can Teaching Assistants put books on reserve for courses?

I'm TAing for Max Page's class The City and he just asked me to put the course books on reserve and I was wondering if TAs have permission to do so. I sent an email to, but I've yet to hear back and in the meantime I was wondering if I have the authority to do this.

Yes - a TA may place materials on course reserve on behalf of the faculty member.

For books, begin by completing and submitting this form under the faculty member's name and the course number.

For book chapters or articles that need to added to eReserves, have the faculty member email library reserves staff at, and request that you be added as a proxy to their  faculty/instructor eReserves login so that you may add materials to the course.
