Q

I am a graduate of UMass and am wondering if alumni are eligible to access the library's ejournals and databases from off campus.

Answer

Unfortunately, our current licenses do not allow alumni access to ejournals from off-site.

Here are a few suggestions:

  1. If you live in Massachusetts you can get access to databases through the Boston Public Library. You need to get what they call an ecard. The databases are listed here.
  2. If you live in another state, try your local public library.

Note that anyone is welcome to come to the library when we are open and use our databases on our public computers. They are located in the Learning Commons, in the Lower Level.

  1. Anyone is also welcome to use the public computers at the Science & Engineering Library, located in the Lederle Grad Research Center low-rise; Entrance on 2nd floor.
