Is the Open Access policy the same thing as ScholarWorks?

Answer

No, the Open Access policy is a Faculty Senate approved policy that addresses rights to article manuscripts and sharing them in an open access repository. 

ScholarWorks is the open access institutional repository maintained and managed by the UMass Amherst Libraries. We encourage all faculty to deposit their author accepted article manuscripts in ScholarWorks, but it is not their only open access repository choice.
